I agree with the other comments...soup and everything else is delicious. Go on a Saturday evening and enjoy an interesting selection of music and instruments with John Kovac. Many of the instruments are made by John.
The Thai food here is some kind of good. I came all the way from california to eat here.
Fast service, great food, nice decor, and reasonably priced. This is a genuine Thai restaurant that you won't regret visiting!
We've been here several times. The food is consistently great. Very flavorful and authentic!
Definitely one of, if not the best Thai place I've had around here.
Try Thai is better but Thunwa is still great. I like how spicy the food is, and the interior is very classy and atmospheric.
3.5 but Google does not allow 0.5. It probably reflects my bias. We had four dishes and I enjoyed one, a green chili entree. I did not like the spicy basil fried rice and the Tom kha soup. The panang curry was ok not great. The people were friendly and there was fast service. The price of food though was incredibly low. Overall given that there are not many Thai options nearby it is worth going too. A caveat, few in our group liked the place than others.
This is our go to stop on our way back from Luray Caverns and Massanutten. Really good authentic dishes, classy setting/decor, and good prices.
So delicious! Best Thai outside of Thailand!
Great food. , Fantastic service. Very friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. The pad thai is the best. Highly recommend.
I eat a LOT of thai food. When I say that, I mean it. This is hands down the best thai place I have ever been to. It is definitely an unassuming place but well worth a visit. If you're debating this is your place. Seriously.
very good Thai food, I had ordered Pad Thai, tasted good and it was reasonably priced. would definitely go there again.
Great service. And they a pretty consistent on quality. My go to is drunken noodle add tomatoes. My friend loves the fried rice. I wouldn't recommend their idea of what was steamed dumplings. Just wasn't a good flavor to me. As well as the spring rolls are ok. But the dishes i really enjoy they do a wonderful job. Thanks guys!
Stopedd on d way to home from luray caverns. Awesome food . Very satisfied with the location cleanliness and appearence. I would recommend it for all my friends. Best in the location.
The food was excellent. I have been to Thailand many times and the food here would not be out of place in Bangkok. It is very authentic. Service was efficient and friendly. I highly recommend it
I've been getting food from here for MANY years. The food is consistently first rate!!! Our family favorites are curry puffs, chicken pad pak, and ginger chicken. My husband gets his pad pak with mushrooms.
Well worth a visit. Good value. Nice cooking and good service too. Best to have a jacket as was draughty on our visit.
I was super bummed when I moved here because there were no thai restaurants. I tried this place once and fell in love. I eat here a few times a month. The food, service and atmosphere is awesome!
This place is great! Delicious food and reasonable price, highly recommended
Unfortunately I know somebody who used to live around here and they never told us about this place. This is just moved to the top of my/our list, although even eating Thai food which really isn’t that great to eat or near in a car it was 100% worth every drip and spill and sticky spot and stain! it’s just unfortunately we couldn’t eat in there but will be back at least five more times so. It was amazing. I don’t think I can say anything else please go and support them and leave a bigger tip than we did, they even brought it out to our car because they weren’t very busy.Somebody pulled in while we were waiting and they’re like oh it’s take out ... same thing we said although we weren’t expecting what we got either so it was totally worth it!
Great Service and Great Food. I try to get in there at least once a week but if I could I would eat there everyday. Their green curry is the real deal. Everything I have eaten here is top notch and the price is great.
Good food ,Awesome ambience ,fast -service and reasonable price . I love the Pad thai and fried ice-cream from the menu.
Fabulous service and generous portions of perfectly cooked and tasty food! The homemade ginger lemon iced tea is divine. A true hidden gem!
In a small town you’d expect to be forced to tolerate the one Thai restaurant but Thunwa Thai fat exceeded my expectations! Five stars - and that’s coming from someone who’s been to Thailand! ขอบคุณครับ!
Great thai food. Pineapple fried rice and orange cashew chicken were awesome.
A delicious stop I'll definitely be repeating on future trips to Shenandoah. Try the Orange Chicken Cashew with chunks of actual orange! There's live instrumental music on Friday and Saturday nights.
I frequent this excellent restaurant from time to time because I enjoy the special air that is unique to this place. The personel is extremely welcoming and qualified. The service is deeply efficient. Also, the food they cook is good. I ate there more than once and I was always joyful. The expense is fair. I recommend this place to to all.
This restaurant serves authentic Thai food! Tom Yum soup was delicious with a good amount of spice to it. Ground beef Kapow was very spicy but when paired with the rice we really enjoyed it. Pad Thai was as you would expect. Thai iced tea was very tasty and sweet. The only thing that wasn't a favorite was the Spicy Seafood. The crab meat on top could have been excluded- for a Marylander that crab meat just wasn't up to par. The sauce on the noodles tasted good however. I would return!
I am a long distance repeat customer. I have been eating here since 2014. The food is consistently excellent, the prices always reasonable and the service good. This time we had the spicy seafood and a curry dish. The spicy seafood was incredible, but it is quite hot, so be thoughtful when selecting it.
Good food, good service and good prices.
We tried soup, crispy duck, basil fried rice, chicken red curry everything was as expected, We enjoyed environment too
A very nice Thai restaurant. Delicious food, reasonably priced and fast service.
Excellent Thai food for a small town. The Drunkin Noodles are worth stopping in alone! We had heard many recommendations and finally made the trip and were happy we did. It's in a unique setting of an holder hotel restaurant space but the food is more authentic than most Thai spots in the region.
Mediocre carelessly made food and Absolutely AWFUL service. Google lists them as open until 10pm, called and confirmed that, arrived 9:05pm and at 9:45pm the waiter walked over and asked us to PLEASE PAY NOW!! Possibly my worst restaurant experience ever in my 52 years!!
I've visited this place quite a few times. The food is very good and the service is very good. The last time I visited the service was not up to par. We were a large group and some in our party were finished eating before others were served. I think they were short handed. I do plan to eat here again because this is not what I have experienced here in the past.
This food is really delicious. I was taken here for our first date and enjoyed the curry pastry puffs and the Thai Chicken Fried Rice. OMG!!! I absolutely love the small veggie bowl that comes with the pasty puffs. Delicious. My must have meal when I’m visiting in town.
Food was delicious and if you like spicy this is the place for you. But the you can measure the amount of spice you like. Server was really nice. They had the cutest elephant statue soon as you walk in.
Love this place! Every dish I have tried is great! Friendly staff and cool atmosphere.
Excellent will be back again
It is Sooo DELICIOUS I've never had anything bad there and the staff are really nice and polite
Laughed at me when I asked for gluten free via GrubHub. I always call ahead and warn restaurants when I order but this place has not once even TRIED to work with me.
Best restaurant in Front Royal, hands down. Get the crispy duck with fried rice and thank me later.
Delicious food, lots of Pacific Rim variety. Good service and pleasant atmosphere. Attractive bar, as well.
Awesome Thai food try it you won’t be disappointed.
Loved it... clean restaurant with excellent food and service. We I'll be back!
We stopped here instead of our usual quick fast food. It was very delicious. This is our new lunch spot when we travel north.
This place is a gem! Best Pad Thai you’ll ever eat !
Server seemed like she was trying to get rid of me and my husband. Barely gave us any hospitality. The red curry was disappointing, extremely greasy and only tasted like oil. The Pho tasted like spicy Ramon noodles. And I was never asked if I enjoyed my food. Which is why I am leaving a review about how it was. The Thai tea was good though..... which is why it’s only 2 stars and not 1.
The food here is delicious. We had the drunken noodles, red curry and ginger lover chicken. The ginger dish was my favorite, but the other two were good, too. They were, also, very accommodating in terms of gluten-free options. They can make every dish but the curries GF. Great place to stop when driving back from the mountainsOnly complaint is that the place is a bit understaffed, so service is slow.
Delicious variety of thai foods. The place is cozy and the staff are pleasant.
Food was good. Price was nice. Not as spicy as I prefer. But it was a nice little place to dine.
